Myanmar Military Television said that the armed forces controlled the country for a year. Before the announcement on the military-owned Myawaddy TV station, people had been worried about the threat of a military coup for several days, and the country’s new parliamentary meeting was about to begin. Myo Nyunt, a spokesperson for the ruling National League for Democracy Party, told Reuters by phone that Suu Kyi, President Win Myint and other leaders were "taken away" in the early hours of the morning. He added that he also wants to be detained. He said: “I want to tell our people not to respond rashly. I hope they act in accordance with the law.” He told AFP that he was very worried about the two: “In view of what is happening now We must assume that the military is launching a coup.” Irrawaddy, a mature online news service, said that members of the party’s Central Executive Committee, parliamentarians and regional cabinet members have also been detained. Since China implemented the national security law on Hong Kong, about 7,000 Hong Kong people have fled to the UK. The British government predicts that, according to the Associated Press, more than 300,000 people will be granted extended residency rights in the next five years. Britain announced a new visa program on Sunday, the day after China said it would no longer treat Hong Kongers’ BN overseas passports as valid travel documents or proof of identity, which has exacerbated tensions between the two countries. Pushing the news: The British government announced in July last year that the security law passed a new British citizenship pathway for Hong Kong people who qualify for BNO, which was obtained by people who had lived in the city before. The British government handed over its former colony to China in 1997. *According to the proposal, these Hong Kong people and their families have the right to stay in the UK for 5 years. The new research aims to provide telephone companies with tools to help curb robocalls. Peter Dazeley/The picture library research profile via Getty Images is a short excerpt of interesting academic works. It is a good idea that over 80% of robocalls come from fake numbers-answering or not answering these calls has no effect on the number of calls you will get. These are the two main findings of our 11-month unsolicited phone study from February 2019 to January 2020. To better understand how these unwelcome callers work, we monitored every call received from more than 66,000 phone lines at the Robocall Observatory at North Carolina State University in the Telephone Security Laboratory. During the research process, we received 1.48 million unsolicited calls. We answered some of these calls, while others made us ring. Contrary to popular belief, we found that answering calls has no effect on the number of automatic calls received by the phone number. Throughout the research process, the weekly automatic call volume remained unchanged. As part of the research, we also developed the first method to identify the robot call activity that led to a large number of such annoying, illegal and fraudulent robot calls. The main types of robot call activities are related to student loans, health insurance, Google business listings, general financial fraud and long-running social security scams. Through the use of these technologies, we have learned that, on average, more than 80% of calls in each robot call activity use fake or short-lived phone numbers to make calls they don't need. Criminals use these phone numbers to deceive their victims, making it more difficult to identify and prosecute illegal robot callers. We have also seen that some fraudulent automated telephone wiretapping activities caused government agencies to impersonate for many months without being discovered. They used messages in English and Mandarin and threatened victims with serious consequences. This information targets the disadvantaged, including immigrants and the elderly. Why important providers can use a time-consuming manual process (called backtracking) to determine the true source of the call. Today, too many robocalls cannot be used as a practical solution that goes back to every call. Our automated telephone campaign recognition technology is not only a powerful research tool. Service providers can also use it to identify large-scale robocalling operations. Using our method, the provider only needs to investigate a small number of calls for each robocalling event. By targeting sources of abuse of robocall, service providers can block or shut down these operations and protect their subscribers from fraud and illegal telemarketing. Vendors are deploying a new technology called STIR/SHAKEN, which may prevent robocallers from spoofing their phone numbers. Once deployed, it will simplify the backtracking of calls, but not for providers using older technologies. Call bots can also quickly adapt to new situations, so they can find a solution to STIR/SHAKEN. No one knows how automated callers interact with victims and how often they change their strategies. For example, more and more automated phones and crooks are using COVID-19 as a prerequisite to deceive people. What's the next step In the next few years, we will continue to study robocall. We will investigate whether STIR/SHAKEN reduces robot calls. We are also developing technology to better identify, understand, and assist providers and law enforcement targets in automated phone operations. Dr. Matt Wolff, a health cardiologist at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, performed a rare heart-kidney transplant in October. He suffered from hereditary heart disease, which shortened the lives of many family members, including his father, who passed away at the age of 50. He said: "I'm 60 years old, so I do a lot better than the odds." An art studio in a shed in his home near Cross Plains.
Dr. Matt Wolff became a cardiologist, treating heart disease, only to learn that he had hereditary heart disease, which could cause people to die suddenly like his father was 50.
After many years as director of cardiology at UW Health, after replacing heart valves and performing angioplasty to remove blocked arteries, Wolff himself underwent a major operation: a heart-kidney transplant.
In October of this year, Wolf, now 60, obtained a heart and kidney from a donor of the same deceased. He is one of them
.
He tried to avoid this step through diet, exercise, drugs, implanting equipment and studying family history, and found out that his great-grandfather had died of a heart attack in 1900. In 1900, other relatives, both male and female, died here in the 30s and 40s.
Wolf said: "I work hard and don't have to transplant, but there is no genetics to escape."
His heart problem caused him to stop performing the operation in October 2019, only visit the clinic and start half-time work. But with a new heart and kidney, he returned to the Ice Age Trail hike near his home in the north of Cross Plains, where he grew organic vegetables. He hopes to work part-time this spring.
He said: "As far as I know, these organs are working well." "I have begun to think about all the things I can't do now."
When Wolff's father died of heart failure and arrhythmia in 1978, the doctor told his family that the condition was not hereditary. Wolfe is 18 years old and a freshman at Worcester College in Southern Cleveland, not far from his hometown of Tiffin, Ohio.
He majored in biology and attended Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore.
Three months after the heart and kidney transplant, Wolf received an examination from the UW Hospital from Dr. Farhad Aziz (right) and Dr. Curtis Swanson. He said, "It's weird to lie on the table on the other side." "You kind of want to tell them,'Go over there, man.'"
While living at the 27-year-old Johns Hopkins University (Johns Hopkins), he decided to specialize in cardiology. He became interested in the complicated blood flow of the heart and was attracted to operations that would allow people to recover quickly. At least without knowing it, he was not bothered by his father's fatal heart disease.
He said: "If it is an influence, it is a subconscious influence."
Wolfe was swimming in the Chesapeake Bay when he was 29 years old. He felt an irregular heartbeat and a fast heartbeat. He wondered if it was related to his father's illness. He said: "It did light up a small light bulb in my brain."
In his early 30s, he had more irregular heartbeats or atrial fibrillation. He read about a family with hereditary dilated cardiomyopathy, where the heart muscle becomes weak and swollen, which hinders blood flow and can cause heartbeat. Irregular beating can be fatal.
Soon, he was convinced that he and a young family member who died of heart disease had the same disease. He read the life story of his grandmother and said that her father died in 1900 of "greasy", an old-fashioned term for swelling due to excess fluid. This disease is called edema today and is usually caused by heart disease.
Researchers in Boston tested Wolfe’s family and four other people and identified a genetic mutation that gives each child of the affected parent a 50% chance of developing hereditary dilated cardiomyopathy. This study traces the inheritance of the Wolf family back to his great-grandfather.
Dr. Matt Wolff walked to the vicinity of his home north of Cross Plains. Before the hereditary heart disease caused heart failure and abnormal heart rhythm, he had to exercise regularly, which was life-threatening, so he needed a heart and kidney transplant. He said that he feels much better today.
Be a researcher
, Wolfe is listed as a co-author.
In the genealogy diagram of this article, the shadows and shadow boxes represent the shadows of people affected by this condition, while the unshaded squares and circles are blank. Wolff's square is half-shaded-he said he insisted on frustrating the main author-because he didn't believe he had all the signs.
He said: "For me, this is very stubborn." "I was not fully prepared to admit it at the time. Psychologically, it was a bit of a struggle."
By the time the paper was published, Wolf had been working at UW Health for nearly 7 years. Before transferring to UnityPoint Health-Meriter for a while and returning to UW, he became the director of the cardiology department.
His arrhythmia episodes are rare but dangerous. He recalled: "I had to lie on the floor, put my feet on the chair, pull the phone down with the wire, and call me." "I'm going to die."
Wolf went to UW Health's transplant clinic to accept his appointment. He is one of five people in UW Hospital, and 289 patients in the country underwent heart and kidney transplants last year.
He received a pacemaker to resist the abnormal heart rhythm. The device has been upgraded to an implantable defibrillator, which can provide corrective shocks when it senses life-threatening irregular rhythms.
He took a variety of drugs for his heart disease, including an experimental drug that he first tested in mice in the laboratory. The drugs developed by Array Biopharma (now part of Pfizer) are located in
He often exercises, jogging and doing yoga. He and his wife Kelly are the marketing directors of the Organic Valley in La Farge. They mainly eat vegetables grown in their large gardens, which are very beneficial to the heart health of the Mediterranean diet. .
But by last summer, Wolf could no longer restrain the fate of his ancestors. His weak heart prevents him from gardening or doing yoga. He said: "It's hard to go up the stairs."
Life-threatening abnormal heart rhythms began to appear more frequently, and drugs no longer worked. There was also no procedure to burn some of his heart tissue in an attempt to stop the wrong electrical signal.
After being hospitalized on October 12, Wolfe was included in the transplant list. While he was waiting, the doctor inserted a balloon pump in his aorta to help his sick heart continue to pump blood, a procedure he performed on other people.
Dr. Jason Smith, a heart transplant surgeon at UW Health, said: "We are not sure whether he can be transplanted." "He is about to get sick and can still survive."
Multiple organ transplants are rare but still increasing. Last year, 289 heart and kidney transplants were performed nationwide, more than double the number five years ago and nearly five times the number in 2010.
Smith
Other transplant combinations include kidney liver, kidney pancreas and heart lung. Compared with single-organ transplantation, each is relatively rare.
Smith said it is difficult to obtain two suitable organs from the same donor. Using organs from different donors makes the recipient's immune system more likely to reject them. Smith said that drugs used in one organ after transplantation may be bad for another organ, and patients who need more than one organ tend to get sick, so the risk of surgery is higher.
Dr. Dixon Kaufman, director of the University of Washington Health Transplant Center, said: "It took a long time to figure out who is the right person."
Kaufman
Wolf's heart problem caused his kidney failure, making him a candidate for a dual transplant.
On October 23, the heart and kidney of the same donor became available, and Wolff matched. Smith and his team transplanted the heart early the next morning, and then Kaufman and his team implanted the kidney into the kidney. Wolf was released on election day on November 3.
Recovering from the transplant has brought him new prospects.
Previously, due to poor health and major maintenance of the property, he and Kelly believed they needed to downsize. Now they plan to live for another five years.
Wolf seems unable to continue the European trip, hiking and rafting trips west with his three daughters. Now, he hopes to join again after the COVID-19 pandemic ends.
Wolf said: "I almost stopped planning for the future." "Now I have realized that I will be able to do all of this."
His daughter is between 26 and 33 years old and lives in Portland, Oregon. Following strict coronavirus precautions, they visited for two months after the transplant. He declined to say whether any of them had heart disease.
Before Wolfe and his wife Kelly underwent a heart and kidney transplant in October, they thought they would not be able to continue living in houses and large amounts of property near Cross Plains. Now they decided to stay.
Wolf has adjusted to only see outpatients and has not undergone emergency adrenaline surgery, but has not received a call late at night. He said that his transplantation operation has given him a deeper understanding of the patient's experience, from taking difficult drug combinations to filling out complicated forms, and sometimes even causing medical service providers to miss out on time.
Wolff said: "When you are on the receiving end, some inefficiencies in the medical service become more obvious," Wolff said, adding that his care is generally excellent.
He knew nothing about the organ donor, including the person’s gender or age. But he understands what happened, just like any deceased donor transplant. In order to keep him alive, someone had to die-probably suddenly and unexpectedly in a sad family.
In a letter to the donor’s family this month, Wolfe expressed his condolences for their loss and his appreciation for the gift of life.
He wrote: "In the terrible and unexpected sadness I imagined, your kindness, selflessness, and generosity aroused inspiration."
He wrote that his transplant is a gift, "I will continue to be grateful every day, I will do my best, and I will work hard to repay."

Sam Cornale was appointed executive director of the Democratic National Committee last week and he found his hometown of Madison inspired
"a place
Madisonists who were born and raised will help guide the world’s oldest and still operating party through the 2022 midterm elections.
Sam Cornale, a graduate of Kennedy Elementary School, La Follette High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was named the next executive director of the Democratic National Committee.
"Is this a dream job?" Cornale, 33, said in an interview. "You know, it will be difficult. Although we have achieved some unprecedented success in the past four years, we still have a lot of work to do, and I am proud to be a small part of it.... The stakes cannot be higher, and people do. It’s a very striking reminder that it won’t be more harmed. If this is someone’s dream job, then they may not be aware of all the challenges in the future."
Even before graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010, Cornale (pronounced "corn-AL") worked behind the scenes in national politics. He first managed the field office of Barack Obama's presidential campaign with an initially unpaid performance. Some of the work of the Obama administration.
Lifetime Democrats were eventually promoted to DNC management positions in the 2018 and 2020 elections.
He said: "Five years ago, if you told me that I would participate in party politics, I would think you were crazy." "It's clear to me... to start directly fighting for more Democrats is to a country that needs it. The most linear way to provide lighting."
Cornale grew up in the Far East of the city and is the son of four educators: his mother taught English and served as an instructor; his father is a school psychologist; his stepfather teaches physical education; his The stepmother taught the second grade.
He remembers sitting at the kitchen table with his brothers at the end of the day, listening to his mother sharing stories about her students. Their challenges moved him. The student became a victim of gun violence. Others were struggling with mental health problems. Some parents had three jobs to make ends meet.
Cornale said: “I’m not a kid who learned the lectures at the Kennedy School of Music when I was 7 years old, but I’ve always been interested in people’s challenges and selfless help.” They are interested in things that interest them."
Cornale graduated from La Follette High School in 2005.
, He told the story of their unsuccessful struggle to reserve 25 parking spaces for students. On the contrary, these spaces have gone to need their teachers.
At the time, Konara said that failed efforts showed that students should not think about what the world can offer them around self-centered curiosity, but should focus on what they can offer the world.
Cornale continued to participate in UW-Madison, and in May 2008, the National Daily reported that he defended him when he defended the police at the annual Mifflin Street neighborhood gathering.
That year, more than 380 people were arrested, mainly on suspicion of alcohol-related crimes. He stood up for a student who was recording the scene and was arrested.
Also in college, Conale interned in the office of Governor Monona Senator Mark Miller. He said that he first linked his interests in the people's struggle to the story and put it into action.
One of Cornale's daily tasks is to cut stories from all the local newspapers in Miller's district. He encountered an incident in which a student suffered anaphylactic shock at school. A law at the time set restrictions on the use of EpiPens and other epinephrine syringes in schools.
Cornale's internship ended early
Let the school have more flexibility to deal with, but the experience of encountering voters' problems and trying to solve this problem has always plagued him.
He recalled: "It was a small scale, but-for the family that almost lost a loved one-a truly meaningful career." "It was a small intern and a small state government, but we eventually pushed legislation."
At the end of Cornale's third grade at UW-Madison, an opportunity emerged.
The 2008 election was in full swing, and Cornale, then 20, knew he wanted to work in politics. Therefore, he dropped out of school and led a field office and a staff of about 18 people in Northern Wisconsin to participate in Obama's presidential election.
After Obama's victory, the president-elect team called and asked about the work of Cornale's transition team. He accepted the job, which made him get to know several upcoming cabinet members. He continued to serve as Deputy Chief of Staff for Secretary of Labor Tom Perez and led Perez's successful 2017 campaign as DNC chairman.
Cornale did return to UW-Madison one summer to complete his degree. He said that when he dropped out, his diploma was three courses short. University records show that he graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in political science.
Although Cornale has worked in Washington, DC for most of his career, he said he will never forget his Wisconsin descent.
Since 2017, he has taught a course for UW-Madison's University every spring semester
, Students attend classes and internships in the American capital.
This spring, although the plan was posted online due to COVID-19, Cornale is still teaching courses on the plan’s presidential campaign and governance.
He said of the course: "In a much-needed world, three hours of observation time are needed every week." "If you are looking for hope or optimism in your life, please talk to 20-year-old and 21-year-old children from Wisconsin. Three hours in total."

Georgia congresswoman says she has "full support" from Donald Trump
President Biden is easing the expectations of his large donors for the ambassador, indicating that he will not issue plum positions for several months, and hinting that he will nominate fewer positions than his predecessors. The big picture: The president supported the Democratic Party's efforts to strive for diversity when choosing a cabinet. Now lawmakers are putting pressure on him to extend it to his embassy, which means that white male donors (the core of his fundraising base) will compete for fewer positions in the competition. CEOs, entrepreneurs, and high-level politicians become smarter and faster when they read the news. What we are listening to is: Biden is most likely to reward loyal politicians and former aides, and the race for former senators such as Claire McCaskill is held in Europe. *In terms of policymakers, former Biden aide Julianne Smith can be nominated as NATO ambassador. *Among the donors, Denise Bauer, Obama's ambassador to Belgium, is the top fundraiser. In the most coveted position, she may return to Europe, perhaps Paris. *Doug Hickey, another of Biden's major donors, is also interested in foreign positions. *Former HBO executive, James Costos, who served as Obama’s ambassador to Spain, expressed interest in the UK, but there are many others, including Comcast executive David · Cohen (David Cohen). Real estate investor Louis Frillman and Latino Victory Project president Nathalie Rayes told colleagues that they are interested in Madrid or another European position. Beijing has a reputation, and the White House is pleased that its special envoy has the political power to spot any potential problems. *If Biden appoints Disney Executive Chairman Robert Iger as his interest, he will tell Biden officials of his interest, which will break this situation. Biden's plan to visit the State Department on Monday, weather permitting, is a symbolic display of his quest to revitalize diplomacy. And emphasized the United States' commitment to allies and partners. He is also expected to make remarks on his foreign policy measures. *Although the president will definitely appoint some donors to the top positions, others are worried that they will be overthrown and eagerly demand a solution. *Although more than 800 people and couples have raised more than $100,000 for Biden’s presidential campaign, the more savvy “bundle labor” groups have raised much more than this amount, and have also reported to the Biden Victory Foundation Provided donations of up to $620,000. People familiar with the matter said that of the approximately 190 ambassadors, 30% are non-professional nominations, and the remaining 70% are professional diplomatic affairs. *According to the American Foreign Service Association, the ratio of 70:30 will match the traditional breakdown. *President Trump created a bias by nominating about 44% of appointed political ambassadors. * The 2018 Foreign Policy report stated that Trump’s nominees are also very different. 90% of his vacancies are for whites. Deeper: The political field has been roughly divided into three categories: policy experts, politicians and donors. *Biden expects to attract more funds from the first two categories, thereby reducing the number of positions for donors who wish to limit successful business careers through foreign positions. *Biden has a huge network of Belway friends and allies, but has never been so successful (or overly dependent) on money and celebrity courses in New York and California. KYIV-Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told "axios on HBO" that he does not see China as a major geopolitical threat, even if he vowed to limit China's control over critical tasks. A position may also cause him to conflict with the Biden administration and Congress. Why it matters: Zelensky's remarks represent a break between the US national security leaders of the two main parties that are trying to rally allies to counter the threat of the Chinese Communist Party. Be smart: Sign up for free to get China’s most influential newsletter. US: Drive News: When asked about the emerging consensus in Washington that China is the world’s largest geopolitical threat, Zelensky said: “I I don’t agree with this, because in Ukraine, we don’t feel that way.” He said: “There is indeed such a cold war between China and the United States.” * “We know that the US business is represented in Ukraine, but at the same time, the Chinese business There are indeed representatives." * "I believe that regardless of nationality, nationality, people, business, a certain country, you will be respected, respect your people and borders, and they will appear in your country." Between the two sentences: Only the United States must play such a big role to push Zelensky away from China. Beijing suppressed Washington in vaccine diplomacy, which is a painful reality discussed by Zilensky in the "Axios on HBO" interview. Zelensky tried to obtain a higher quality American vaccine for his country. He promoted the help of Europeans. But considering his difficulty in obtaining a dose, he said he is willing to cooperate with Beijing to obtain a large amount of safe COVID vaccine for the Ukrainian people. *It is worth noting that the United States has not provided Ukraine with its high-quality vaccines, and has actually taken steps to make it difficult for Zelensky to obtain them. Behind the scenes: How to deal with the China issue is a growing pain point in U.S.-Ukraine relations. Trump administration officials privately expressed concern that China-which became Ukraine's largest trading partner in 2019-injected ample cash into China, instead embedding itself in key Ukrainian sectors including defense and telecommunications. *US officials worry that China will steal intelligence secrets and exert evil influence on allies that increasingly rely on Beijing. Yes, but: Senior U.S. government officials have been trying to persuade Ukraine to prevent China from buying the aero-engine Sich manufacturer for years, which is the number one jewel of the Ukrainian defense department. * Zelensky made it clear for the first time in an interview that he will not allow China or any other country to buy a controlling stake in Sich. * "Never," he said. "Not under me. I don't live here... [but] during my [time in office], absolutely not. The most important thing is that Russia’s focus on Ukraine is much closer. But when Russia annexed Croatia in 2014 China never condemned Russia’s actions when he was in Crimea, so although Zilensky may not list China as a threat, he knew that China could not be relied on in the Russia-Ukraine crisis and supported safe, smart, and sensible journalism. , Please sign up for Axios newsletter here.

European diplomats speculated on Saturday that Ireland may have planned to pull Joe Biden into the border. Irish officials may threaten to use their government’s relationship with the US president to force the European Commission to reverse the situation. Dublin’s unwarned threat to the European Union’s borders triggered a tense appeal between Irish Taoist Minister Michael Martin and European Commission President Ursula von der Lein. Diplomats in Brussels believe that Dublin may have “picked up Biden’s bat phone” or reminded President von Delane’s attachment to Ireland and the peace process. Mr. Biden is of Irish descent and often warns Britain not to establish a hard border in Ireland. The committee’s move aroused anger in Dublin because the Irish government had previously convinced that any hard border on the island need not be one of the foundations of the final Brexit agreement.
