The experience of watching a movie will be different. The state allows cinemas to be opened indoors after modification, including up to 25% of the people or 100 people, whichever is less.
For its part, the Reading Cinemas at Cal Oaks Plaza in Murrieta announced Friday that it will welcome movie lovers.
"Reading Cinemas has been working hard to improve safety protocols and train our team to comply with federal, state, local and industry codes," said Jennifer Delin, department manager of Reading. "We are happy to welcome the community back and hope to ensure the safest environment for our guests and employees."
Reading provided a list of policies and procedures implemented by the theater. What guests can expect is:
Reading's open house screenings included director Christopher Nolan's "Tenet" in the Titan Lux Auditorium. "Akira" with remastered 4K visual effects and remixed audio; and Sony's "Last Shift" starring Oscar-nominated Richard Jenkins (Richard Jenkins). Other movies include "Hearts", "Unreal" and "New Mutant".
In addition, some family favorites will return to Reading’s big screen at a special price of $3 for children and $5 for adults. Movies include "Shrek", "Despicable Me", "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and "Star Wars: Episode V-The Empire Strikes Back".
